I have seen a few of these in books discussing racist US propaganda, but there is a wonderful online Catalog of Political Cartoons by Dr. Seuss. See the images related to Japan.

These seem to be the same people who put up this collection of Dr. Seuss’s early advertising work.

I found the one for 2/13/1942 particularly disturbing. It’s propaganda against the Japanese-Americans on the west coast. This issue has been thoroughly explored and debated, so there is little I can add to it, but I wonder if he ever saw the connection between this kind of cartoon and some of his books like the ‘Butter Battle Book’?
I’d like to excuse Dr. Seuss, but I cannot, the kind of garbage that is strewn by his bogus racist opinions needs to be excised and held up to ridicule. The more I know of him, the weirder he becomes. Rick
