Unfortunately, this is an all too common story. Nice work figuring this out and for maintaining your integrity. Let’s also be clear. D and D Marketing is not a fake company by any stretch of the imagination. D and D are themselves Russian businessmen based in Los Angeles in the payday lead generation market. Is it coincidence that the hackers of your site are themselves Russian? You decide.

Kudos to you on 1) your internet sleuthing skills to really figure out what was going on, and 2) having the integrity to not try and make a quick buck out of other people’s dishonesty. You can’t put a price on that.

I think you have been quite foolish to pass on this opportunity, especially since you could have only redirected UK traffic for a nice stream of income. Who gives a toss about whether you make a few thousand off the site for a few weeks and only effect a small portion of your visitors. If not for yourself, that money could of been paid to contributors on your site or to cover other costs.
