It makes me want to go and check out Koga in SE Shiga prefecture, another center of ninja activity in Japan, about an hour from my wife’s hometown.

The Koga evidently had it bad during the Sengoku period, since they were very close to Azuchi and Oda Nobunaga, and he had little love for ninjas.
